Fossil Fuels in a Low Carbon Future
IPAC-CO2 Research Inc. in collaboration with the Global CCS Institute will host a two-day symposium in Regina, Canada, entitled Fossil Fuels in a Low-Carbon Future followed by a one-day workshop on CCS. The symposium will have presentations on issues such as: the outlook for future fossil fuel consumption; economic impact of fossil fuels in the Canadian economy; the trade implications of a low-carbon intensity world; and how to advance CCS as the most viable tool to decarbonize fossil fuels. These foundation presentations will be followed by facilitated discussions on next steps. In addition, there will also be an opportunity to engage in active, constructive discussions with public stakeholders during an event co-hosted by the University of Regina’s Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy.
